Brute Fiction is an ongoing series of invented structures. Begun as a weekly drawing challenge, the project is an exploration of shelters, markers, monuments and other potentially ambiguous constructions. The pieces reference real and fictional architecture, ruined or obsolete landscapes, and humanity’s continuing quest for effective communication across the ages: What were these structures for? Who made them? And what, if anything, are they trying to tell us?
